Ann Roemen '84


 

 

Ann Roemen is a 1984 SMSU graduate. She has been actively involved in the Sioux Empire United Way for over twelve years, serving on the cabinet, allocations committee, WomenUnite program and table host committees, and chairing WomenUnite in 2017. She has served as a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement teaching business, finance and economics to elementary, middle and high schoolers since 2002; served as a school-based mentor for Lutheran Social Services; served on the planning committee for the SMSU Women’s Conference. Professionally, Ann has been active in the South Dakota Medical Group Management Association, serving on the board for five years, and served as the state’s forum representative for the Academy of Certified Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) for eight years, and as the regional ACMPE forum representative for the national Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) for three years. In addition, she also served as a volunteer volleyball coach. Ann and her husband, Dan Beacom reside in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They have three children, Jordan, Jonah and Hannah (2019 SMSU grad) and one granddaughter, Kristi.
