Erin Lind is the full-time commissioner of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). She has spent 18 years of her career with the NSIC serving in numerous roles including NSIC Associate Commissioner and Senior Woman Administrator.
 
During her tenure at the NSIC Erin has been active on the national scene as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Central Regional Advisory Committees for women's basketball, volleyball and softball. She has also served as Regional Advisory Committee Chair for men's and women's tennis. Erin was a member of the NCAA Division II Championships Committee and served as chair in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. She has also served as a presenter and panelist at NCAA National Conventions.  Erin currently sits on the NCAA Division II Nominating Committee and NCAA Concussion Advisory Group.  She is also serving on the Executive Committee of the Division II Conference Commissioner Association.  
 
A 2001 graduate of Southwest State University, Erin earned her bachelor's degree in sports management with minors in business management and coaching. She completed her Master's of education in sports management at the University of Minnesota in 2003. Erin and her husband, Matt, have two sons, Jacob & Taylor.
 
Known as Erin Frye in her playing days, Erin is very familiar with the NSIC. A starter for the women's basketball team from 1998 to 2001, Erin was a first-team All-NSIC selection and a member of the NSIC All-Tournament Team as a junior and was honorable mention all-conference as a senior. She ended her career as the school's seventh all-time leading scorer with 1,380 points. Erin helped lead the Mustangs to the 2000-2001 conference championship and a first-ever NCAA tournament appearance. She was also the first recipient of the GOLD (Graduate of the Last Decade) Award. The GOLD award is presented to a graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University to recognize recent (past 10 years) graduates with exceptional achievement and significant contribution to the recipient's profession or community/society or university.

Erin will share her journey, in a predominantly male field, through the lens of four emotional intelligence (EQ) skills: self-awareness, managing emotions, empathy and relationships.  Learn to navigate the advantages of high emotional intelligence, as a leader and team member, through daily habits that will help to raise your EQ. Whether you are just starting out, or want to invest further in your EQ skills, this session is for you.
