2019 Campus Drive

November 11-22

Make a gift for your chance to win a Microgrant!

One $500 and two $250 Microgrants will be awarded.

Microgrants will be randomly chosen from employees who:

  • Make at least a $25 new donor gift*, or
  • Increase their last year's Campus Drive gift by at least $25, or
  • Increase their payroll deduction giving by any amount
*New donor gift refers to a gift from someone who did not give last year.

Winners receive Microgrant funds deposited into their department/program account to be used for whatever purpose they choose.

All employees are eligible to participate! Winners will be chosen Nov. 25.

6th Annual Building Participation Challenge

A fun and competitive way for campus employees to show their support for SMSU students, the Building Participation Challenge awards the campus building with the highest percentage of employees donating with a pre-Thanksgiving, all-you-can-eat Pie Party on Tuesday, November 26.

Employees who give during the Campus Drive (or who have already given during the current academic year) raise the participation percentage for their building. So, make your own gift, then encourage your building colleagues to make their gift and you all could win!

What is the SMSU Campus Drive?

  • Annual fundraising campaign sponsored by the SMSU Foundation to support SMSU students and our University.

  • Participation matters most! It's not how much you give, it's that you GIVE.

  • Employees choose how and where to direct their gifts. You can support many areas on campus. Pick those that matter most to you, for example:

      • Scholarships (view all of the Foundation scholarships that you can contribute to here)

      • Academic Programs & Departments

      • Clubs, Organizations & Athletic Teams

      • Capital Projects (Labs, Technology, Equipment, etc.)

      • Campus Beautification

      • Southwest Fund (supports areas of greatest need on campus, including the Special Grants Program for SMSU employees)

Who Can Participate?

  • All SMSU employees. We encourage employees to donate to the area or cause they feel most passionate about on campus during the Campus Drive.

  • SMSU employees have the highest giving percentage of all the Minnesota State public universities--a record 62% in 2018!
