The Southwest Minnesota State University Foundation is a non-profit, self-supporting corporation established solely for the benefit of Southwest Minnesota State University and its students. The SMSU Foundation seeks to assist the University in achieving its mission of providing quality education programs and services. The Foundation's primary purpose is to fund scholarships, projects and activities through a comprehensive fund-raising program.
The Foundation is guided by the work of an outstanding Board of Directors. Elected to three-year terms, the directors are alumni and friends who provide invaluable counsel in fund-raising, portfolio management, strategic planning and other matters. With the assistance of countless volunteers, the Board of Directors is responsible for enabling the Foundation to meet the long-term needs of the University.
